Purpose:  To encourage worshippers to remember othes in prayer on a daily basis.

Materials Needed:
  • Wooden blocks, painted on all four sides with "chalkboard paint"
  • Chalk
  • "Prayer Cards" (click here for our example)
  • Print out of Scriptures encouraging people to pray for one another.
  • Intructions for the prayer station printed out and mounted for easy reading.

Setup:
  • Stack the blocks at one end of the table.
  • Place the chalk near the blank blocks.
  • Post the scripture passages for easy reading.
  • Place the "prayer cards" near the center of the table.
Practice:
  • Have worshippers read the posted Scriptures and spend some time meditating on who, specifically, they might spend the week in prayer for.
  • After deciding on who they will pray for, have worshippers pick up an empty block and write the name of the individual on one of it's faces.
  • When the block has been "named," have worshippers stack the blocks at the other end of the table, with the names facing the worship space.
  • As a reminder, encourage worshippers to fill out a "prayer card" to take with them - have them keep it near over the course of the week as they pray.
