Purpose: To help worshipers visualize the saving grace of Jesus.
Materials Needed:
- “paperkins”
- hole-punches, “named” with
sins
- “paperkins” named “Jesus”
- glue sticks
- A Print-out of Romans 7:24 - 25
A close-up of our hole-punches, doing their work. Set Up:
- Set up two piles of "paperkins," one is marked "Jesus."
- Next to the blank pile, set out the hole-punches for easy viewing.
- Set the Glue Sticks by the "Jesus" pile."
- Elevate the scripture print-out for easy reading.
Practice
- Have worshipers take up a blank "paperkin," and encourage them to examine the titles on the hole-punches near-by.
- As the worshipers look through the hole-punches, have them punch
a hole in their "paperkin" for every sin the see that's affected them
or that they've visited upon another.
- After going through the punches - have worshipers take one of the
whole "paperkins" from the Jesus pile, and glue it over the marked
image.
- Looking at the image of Jesus covering the holes of the
"paperkin" representing the worshiper, encourage them to say a prayer
thanking Jesus for rescuing from our brokenness.
